    About the Author:

Michael S. Heiser (February 14, 1963 – February 20, 2023) was a biblical scholar who earned his PhD in Hebrew Bible and Semitic languages and held an MA in ancient history and Hebrew studies. His expertise and work focused on the nature of the spiritual realm in the Bible and about spiritual matters more generally. Dr. Heiser wrote numerous best-selling books including The Unseen Realm, Supernatural, The Bible Unfiltered, Reversing Hermon, and The Façade Saga.  He was Executive Director of the School of Theology at Celebration Church in Jacksonville, FL, and previously served as scholar-in-residence at Faithlife Corporation. He was a regular contributor to Bible Study Magazine, and an editor of the Faithlife Study Bible. Additionally, he ran The Naked Bible podcast as well as hosted the Peeranormal podcast until 2021 which discussed peer-reviewed research on the paranormal.

    About the Book:

In the Unseen Realm, Dr. Michael Heiser examines the ancient context of Scripture, explaining how its supernatural worldview can help us grow in our understanding of God.  He illuminates intriguing and amazing passages of the Bible that have been hiding in plain sight.  You’ll find yourself engaged in an enthusiastic pursuit of the truth, resulting in a new appreciation for God’s Word.

    •  Why wasn’t Eve surprised when the serpent spoke to her?
    •  How did descendants of the Nephilim survive the flood?
    •  Why did Jacob fuse Yahweh and his Angel together in prayer?
    •  Who are the assembly of divine beings that God presides over?

After reading The Unseen Realm, you may never read your Bible the same way again.

This quote encapsulates Heiser’s intention for the reader: “My goal is simple.  When you open your Bible, I want you to be able to see it like ancient Israelites or first-century Jews saw it, to perceive and consider it as they would have.  I want their supernatural worldview in your head” (Pg. 13).

Depending on how well this study is received, we will embark on a study of a subsequent book by Michael Heiser called, Reversing Hermon – Enoch, The Watchers & The Forgotten Mission of Jesus Christ.
