Windcrest United Methodist Church is currently looking to add a part-time Church Treasurer to our admin team! This is a part-time position at approximately 20-hour per week starting at $15-$20 per hour. Our office is open Monday through Thursday from 9:00 am until 5:00 pm and on Fridays from 9:00 am until Noon.
Job responsibilities will include accounting records, payroll, monthly reports to the finance committee, participation in audits, year-end financials, budget preparation, statements and reporting, and accounting-related functions for a non-profit organization. Other requirements will include managing tax filings and payments and all items related to accounts payable.
A person in this role must possess general bookkeeping, financial auditing, investing, accounting, and processing competencies. A candidate with experience in Shelby church software would be ideal, however, training is provided. Compensation and working hours are negotiable depending upon experience and knowledge.
