Open hearts. Open minds. Open doors.
Location & CampusClick HERE for our printable campus map.
Our church is located at the corner of Walzem Road and Midcrown Drive in Windcrest, on the Northeast side of San Antonio, Texas.
8101 Midcrown Drive
San Antonio, TX 78239
Sanctuary & Gathering PlaceOur main Sanctuary can be accessed from the parking entrance off Walzem Road or Midcrown Drive. Enter the wooden doors under the portico to find our members, families, and friends gathering before Worship. Called the Gathering Place, this building with the tallest roof peak and unique circular architecture, is where you will find on 1st & 3rd Sundays, coffee and snacks and a special welcome.
You may also enter the Sanctuary from the glass doors across from the special visitor parking off Midcrown Drive. Please note these doors lead directly into the sanctuary. At the present time we discourage the use of the doors nearest the stained glass window. You will be more comfortable entering through our main Gathering Place wooden doors just under the portico.
If you are attending our church for a special event such as a baptism, wedding, or funeral, we invite you to park in visitor parking closest to the church doors in either of the two main parking lots.
Hilliard BuildingFellowship Hall in the Hilliard Building is located off the back parking lot off Midcrown Drive.
The main church office and staff offices are also located in the Hilliard Building. Please enter the back parking lot off Midcrown Drive. The main doors are just beyond the mailbox.
Jones BuildingThe Jones Building houses our children's classrooms. During the school year Childhood Expressions, our preschool occupies these classrooms. On Sundays, they become Sunday School classrooms where our Godly Play classes meet and where our nursery care can be found. These rooms are numbered 201-209.
The Music Ministry rehearsal rooms are also located off the corridor between the Sanctuary and the Jones Building. You may park in the parking lot off Walzem Road for closest access.
McClung BuildingLocated nearest the back parking lot and across from the playground, this is a classroom building for most adult classes and studies. Rooms are numbered 301-305 downstairs, and 306-310 upstairs.
Red Tree SquareCommunity Hall, room 401, is our repurposed Fellowship space located in the South Red Tree building closest to Walzem Road.
The Susanna Wesley Center, room 402, YouthSpace classrooms and recreation space, rooms 403 & 404 are also located in this South Red Tree Square building.
We look forward to a major remodeling project in the not too distant future. We invite you to come grow with us!
Scout HutBoy Scout Troop 157 and Cub Scout Pack 157 meet in the Scout Hut. Located at the back of the Midcrown parking lot, you will find scout activity most evenings each week.
ParkingWe have large parking lots off Walzem Road and Midcrown Drive around the original campus buildings. There is also ample parking in the Red Tree Square area both in front, at the side, and at the back. There is a convenient drive through area between our campus property lines.
Our Bridge to the FutureWhen Rev. Greg Hackett came to Windcrest in 2000, the church entered into a “Master Plan” study to examine the church plant, and to ascertain where growth could happen, and how to provide space for that growth. As a result of the Master Plan, in 2005 Red Tree 1 was purchased – 2.2 acres due west of the church property, at a cost of 1.46 million dollars. The church ran a capitol campaign, better known as Our Bridge to the Future, and pledges amounting to $1.2 million were committed.
As leased space became available, the church has occupied it and now has usable space “Community Hall” (a Fellowship Hall that seats 130 for dining), “Susanna Wesley Center” (United Methodist Women and Mission events, as well as Sunday School), and “Youth Space” (our youth ministry). This increased space has allowed programmatic ministries to flourish.
The debt, originally at 1.46 million dollars, has now-after four years-been paid off!. Thank you to everyone for your faithful giving to the Capitol Campaign.
